The console table tends to live in hallways and behind sofas and against walls that would otherwise just be walls. Which sounds unremarkable until you’ve seen what a good one does to a space. It takes an area that was just transition and turns it into somewhere intentional. Behind a sofa it creates a layered depth to the room that you can’t achieve any other way. In a hallway it gives you somewhere to put things down when you come through the door, which is more valuable than it sounds at seven in the morning. The ones here are slim enough to not eat into the room but substantial enough to actually hold things.
